I’m a late 20’s 31 year old female (ah!) figuring out what’s right for my body. Though it can be a bit frustrating (weight is up, weight is down), it’s been fun exploring and experimenting with all kinds of food.
What can I say? I love food & I especially like LOVE sweets. Always have and always will. Unfortunately, it showed …
The first attempt to get serious and lose weight, I joined Weight Watchers. I was getting married and it was the perfect time to change my lifestyle. I looked great, felt great, had a new wardrobe, new husband ❤ In total, I lost 40 pounds! Then, while we were in the process of moving out of our apartment, stress moved its way in. I got lazy. I stopped tracking and ended up canceling my weight watchers account.
After gaining it all back, plus some, a picture of me from December 2013 stopped me in my tracks. What was I doing? How did I let myself get back to where I was? That certain picture and seeing my smaller clothes hanging in the closet was fuel to my inner fire. Weight Watchers has always been part of my success and I felt that I’d give it another shot.
Moving forward, I’m embracing the new Smart Points system and will still experiment with food and recipes to make them better for me; whether it’s swapping ingredients or changing portion sizes. So, I hope you continue to follow along with this journey with Weight Watchers.
My husband and a few gals at work have been great taste testers ❤ Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn’t. I just get more inspired to try again. I find a lot of inspiration from Instagram (@themrskray). There, you’ll see recipes I’ve came up with and recipes I’ve tweaked to make better for me, etc.
So this blog is for them: my husband, mother, friends, followers, people who inspire me, & my fellow/former weight watchers.
Feel free to follow my board on Pinterest or “like” the official Facebook page for updates and new posts! 😉
Now, it’s snack time. 🙂
