Holy chocolate sauce. This stuff is addictive and I want it on everything. Did I mention it’s sugar free?
I’ve made this chocolate sauce, spread, glaze, whatever you want to call it many, many times but just as a single serving. Well, today I made a BATCH of it so it’s easily accessible for anytime something needs a little chocolate. Or a lot of chocolate. Maybe I just need a spoonful every now and then. That’s ok because it’s sugar free! Hallelujah!
This recipe (it feels weird to even call it a recipe) is only 2 ingredients and easy to remember because it’s equal parts 1:1. Make as little or as much as you want. It’s great drizzled on ice cream, in-between a baguette with banana, on oatmeal, and would even make a fantastic glaze for a cake/brownies.
How will you use it? Let me know in the comments!
Chocolate Fudge Sauce (sugar free)
Author: My Skinny Sweet Tooth
Yields: 1/2 cup
Servings: 8
Serving Size: 1 tbsp
Smart Points per Serving: 1sp*
Macros per Serving: 19 calories
0g Fat, 3g Carbs, 1g Protein, 0g Sugar
Ingredients:
• 1/4 cup (28g) raw cacao powder (or cocoa powder)
• 1/4 cup (80g) sugar free maple syrup (I use Joseph’s brand)
–(Add 1 tbsp more of maple syrup for a more drizzle-like consistency)
Directions:
• Mix the cacao powder and syrup together until combined. It may take a bit for it to fully come together but once it does, you’ll know!
• Pour into a small jar with a lid and keep in the pantry or fridge.
–– Keeping it in the fridge will make it more like a spread.
• Enjoy!
*When tracking, it starts at 1sp at a tablespoon and continues to be only 1sp for the entire batch. You could easily track it as 0sp unless using the whole thing. You do you. 🙂
Wow never thought it could be that simple! Thanks for sharing (:

I cannot believe how simple but delicious this looks! I can’t wait to try this. Do you think you could do this with PB powder?

Abosolutely! I do it all the time. On instagram, I refer to it as peanut butter syrup 🙂 Add a teeny pinch of sea salt and it’s amazing. Definitely give it a try!

How did you calculate 1sp per serving? When I calculated, it’s giving me 1sp for the whole batch vs. serving. Syrup (1) + Cacao (0)

It’s 0sp up to 1 tbsp then it bumps it to 1sp and stays 1sp for the rest of the batch. So you could track it as 0sp unless consuming the entire batch. I just had to put what was accurately calculated from the WW app. 🙂 Hope this helps!

I was just wondering how long this keeps for and do you store it in the fridge or cupboard? Thanks

I kept mine in the cupboard and I had always used it up within the week. ☺️
